Dear LG Washing Machine and Dryer,
When I bought you a few years ago, it was love at first sight. You were so shiny and red with all those cool little buttons and knobs that I just couldn't wait to get my hands on. I even bought two pedastals for you to stand on so I could reach in to you and look at you eye level. It was love those first few months. Everyone in the family wanted to play with you and couldn't wait to watch you spin around and listen for your little bells and whistles to go off. The sound was like whispering sweet nothings into my ear, "Oh Dara, come see how clean your clothes are. Come see how soft and warm they are. Oh and they smell wonderful." I literally had to fight for your attention.
It's been two years, and I'm ready for a break. I don't want to touch you and push your buttons every day. The sound of your bells and whistles when it's time to switch out the laundry just annoys the hell out of me. Now all I hear is, "Hey, Dara get your butt off the couch and fold some clothes. I got another cycle to go through and these clothes can't just stay in here forever." Nobody else wants to play with you so you're lonely and I get that. But I need a break. So I will see you next week. Be kind to our sweet housesitter. Maybe she will want to push some buttons and fondle you.
Love,
Dara
